Eggs for French Bulldogs

Raw eggs are not directly toxic to French Bulldogs, but they carry genuine risks that make fully cooked eggs the safer and preferable option. The two main concerns are: (1) Salmonella and other bacterial contamination; (2) raw egg whites contain avidin, a protein that blocks biotin (vitamin B7) absorption with habitual feeding. An occasional raw egg is unlikely to cause serious harm in a healthy adult dog, but the veterinary recommendation is to prefer cooked eggs.
