    French Bulldogs already breathe differently from other breeds. In situations involving stress, heat, or physical exertion, their breathing can become critical more quickly.

    Warning signs

    • Very noisy or labored breathing
    • Blue or purplish tongue or gums
    • Sudden agitation
    • Weakness or collapse
    • Mouth always open with difficulty closing it

    What to do immediately

    1. 1Move the dog to a cool, well-ventilated place
    2. 2Avoid unnecessary movement — keep the dog still and calm
    3. 3Offer fresh water without forcing the dog to drink
    4. 4Lower the room temperature if possible
    5. 5Contact the veterinarian if the condition does not improve within a few minutes
